OSB Events have announced a limited offer for runners thinking about entering the 2018 Lincoln Half Marathon. Expressions of interest are open until the 11 February and at an early bird discounted price.
Lincoln Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 30 September and there are 5,000 places available for this popular event, now in its third year. Runners will be treated to a tour of the city, passing famous landmarks such as Lincoln Castle and the Cathedral and a foray into the lively Brayford Waterfront area.
The race is held on closed roads and starts and finishes at the Lincoln Showground which has an impressive range of facilities and hosts hundreds of events each year. This venue is the site for the race village where there will be live entertainment, DJ’s and food and drink stalls. There is plenty of on-site parking too.
New for this year is the Lincoln Mini Marathon, a race designed for the under 17’s that starts after the half marathon and is based within the Showground. The Corporate Challenge is back for the second time and open to local businesses that compete against each other while fundraising for charity.
Race director Iain Hamilton is proud to announce the launch of the 2018 Lincoln Half Marathon and hopes to attract a large volume of entries, saying: “With many runners now making their race plans for the year we hope many will sign up to run this brilliant half marathon in one of the UK’s most historic cities.”
