Erewash Half Marathon made a splash in 2017. The new race was an instant success with runners saying:
"Just want to say that was my first half marathon and loved every minute of it, thank you so much, will def be doing the next one." Caroline Presbury
"I enjoyed it yesterday! Love my medal." Sam Blackburn
Now the event is back for 2018 with a Saturday, 18 August date and an improved route.
Erewash Half Marathon is a point-to-point race. Entrants are bused to the start at the Canal Basin at Langley Mill and travel the 13.1 miles south along the Erewash Canal to Long Eaton and the finish at West Park Leisure Centre.
Competitors go off in small waves and enjoy a traffic-free route along the canal towpaths. It is a flattish multi-terrain course with floating water stations approximately every three miles. All finishers will receive a medal and a race day memento.
