The Midland’s Must Do 10K!
Thousands of runners are set to line up for the third Asda Foundation Nottingham 10K on Sunday 12 August. You’ll be happy to know that due to high demand in previous years, the capacity has been increased. But why the high demand?
Last year saw a change in route which proved popular with all runners. A flat and fast 10k which takes in the lovely Lady Bay area and the stunning Holme Pierre Country Park, it’s a course which caters for those who are keen to smash a PB, and those who are just setting out on their running journey.
As with all Run For All events, the support on course is impressive. And if the cheers don’t get you around, the equally impressive on course entertainment every few kilometres is sure to put the wind in your sails.
There’s no expense spared on the bling either. Finishers receive a goody bag complete with tech T-Shirt, medal and free medal engraving. Finishers also receive their chip timing texted directly after the race.
With so many great 10Ks out there, it’s difficult to set them apart. But organisers Run For All have quickly become leaders on the scene and the Nottingham 10K epitomises this. With impeccable organisation and a carnivalesque atmosphere, it allows us runners to do what we came to do with minimal ease and stress. Run!
