Obstacle Racing With A Canine Twist

dog and runner at the Muddy Dog Challenge

Battersea’s Muddy Dog Challenge is back in 2016 with a late spring double header at Brockwell Park, London and at Windsor Great Park. The Muddy Dog Challenge is a unique event - the UK's only mud run where animal owners can test themselves over an obstacle course while running alongside their four-legged friend.

This year there are two events to choose from, both offering participants a dog-friendly obstacle course, putting two legged and four legged through their paces. Competitors can scamper, jog or walk round a 2.5k or 5k course and have the opportunity to crawl under nets, jump over tyres and squelch in the mud.

Runners at Brockwell Park, on Saturday 7 May will enjoy the leafy scenery the south London park has to offer. And on Saturday 21 May runners will get back to nature, descending on Windsor Great Park’s woodlands in beautiful Berkshire.

Competitors have the option of running with their dog, in a team or on their own. Whether running with man, woman or pooch, the Muddy Dog Challenge will be a day to remember. Friends and family are invited to cheer runners as they cross the finish line. There’ll be lots fun activities for the whole family as well as stalls to buy refreshments and some well-deserved doggy treats.

Money raise at the event will go towards helping the 8,000 dogs and cats that arrive at Battersea’s three centres in South London, Old Windsor in Berkshire and Brands Hatch in Kent every year.
