Runners of all ages and backgrounds turned out for last weekend's No Walk in the Park 5K, a regular Saturday morning race in Queen’s Park, Chesterfield. The monthly time trial event fulfils a runner’s need for speed with a commemorative T-shirt for those who complete six out of 12 races in 2016.
This accessible race is a great way for runners to improve their pacing and fitness levels with age category prizes for the fastest time from all 12 races. Runners must complete at least six of the race series in order to qualify for a prize with a further incentive provided in the form of a special commemorative T-shirt. The T-shirt is only awarded on completion of all 12 races making this a very good reason to get up early on Saturday mornings!
No Walk In The Park includes a 1500m children’s fun run for the future stars of tomorrow with all proceeds from this year’s series going to the Chesterfield Royal Macmillan Cancer Centre Appeal.
