Birmingham Goes Gung-Ho! For Children In Need

Anyone in Birmingham who enjoys a challenge is invited to Gung-Ho! for BBC Children in Need on Saturday 6 May.

Launched in 2015, Gung-Ho! is a 5k inflatable obstacle course open to people of all ages and abilities and appearing in 10 locations around the UK. Participants have a range of obstacles to deal with including inflatable hurdles, potholes, ball pits and a slide with two new additions to keep everyone on their toes. They can walk or run at their own pace with family, friends and colleagues providing encouragement and support   
This unique inflatable course will be pitched at Cofton Park in South Birmingham and Team Pudsey participants start at 12pm. The event is open to individuals and teams, who register and buy their ticket before receiving a T-shirt and fundraising pack. They can also set up an online fundraising page at BTMyDonate. 
BBC Children in Need funds 72 projects working with disadvantaged children and young people in Birmingham. For example, Sport 4 Life UK, who deliver sports-orientated programmes to disadvantaged young people, equipping them with key skills to allow them access to education, training or employment. 
A further call to arms from Gung-Ho! co-founder, Alex Winters who says: “We are delighted to be partnering with BBC Children in Need this year and hope everyone will get involved. It’s a fantastic day out for such a good cause.”
