Entries have opened for Blenheim Palace Half Marathon and 10K which will take place on Sunday 4 October. Organised by the British Heart Foundation (BHF), this is the 5th edition of the event which takes place at the stunning Oxfordshire venue.
Thousands of runners are expected at the event to help the fight against coronary heart disease, the UK’s single biggest killer. In 2014 those who took on the challenge helped to raise over £150,000 for the BHF’s essential, lifesaving research into heart disease.
The route starts in front of historic Blenheim Palace and winds through the palace grounds. It’s primarily flat and on paths so is ideal for runners of all ages and abilities. The event also has a 2K Family Fun Run for family members to get involved and join the fight against heart disease.
Regional event organiser, Alistair Hills for the BHF, said: “We’re really looking forward to this year’s event and hope to see thousands of BHF runners taking on the challenge in the gorgeous Blenheim Palace in October while raising the vital funds needed to continue our life saving research.”
Sign up to join the fight today; entry fees are £26 for the half marathon and £19 for the 10k. Call the events team to register on 0845 130 8663 or visit the BHF website.
