If you’re thinking of heading Stateside for a race this year, the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on 9 October offers value for money. The event is renowned for having a fast, flat course with elite and recreational runners alike targeting it for PBs, national and world records.
The course has produced four world records, several national records, and countless personal bests. As well as being fast, the course offers a scenic tour of the Windy City. Runners will start and finish in Grant Park, weaving through 29 diverse neighbourhoods and dozens of local and historic landmarks in between. The race field will include participants from all 50 states and more than 100 countries.
