For the first time in the event’s history, organisers of the Coventry Half Marathon find themselves in the welcome position of announcing that all of the entries for the race on Sunday 28 February have now been filled. Anyone looking to still compete in the event, however, can still apply for a charity entry through one of the official race partners.
GO2's Jamie Warren said: "We are delighted to see that so many runners continue to support Coventry’s growing half marathon, and the year on year success has led to a race sell out for the first time ever! We would now encourage anyone who still had the last weekend of February earmarked to run the event to consider a place with one of our charity partners. The 2016 race looks set to break records across the board, and we would encourage you to get involved in this wonderful event that brings together the community, and provides a lasting legacy throughout the year.”
For those considering taking part, the charities looking for support include Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice, Myton Hospice, The Air Ambulance Service, Penny Appeal, and gold bond charities Doorway, Bloodwise Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, Dame Kelly Holmes Trust and I Want My Mummy.
More information on these is available at the Decathlon Coventry Half Marathon website.
