There are only a few places remaining in the new Penkridge 10K on Saturday 8 April in Staffordshire. This is one of two new races organised by Mash Running, the second being the Chillington Half Marathon. Mash Running hosts the popular Rodbaston 10K and Milford Mash Up races and hope the Penkridge 10K will join them as a ‘must do’ trail event in any runner’s diary.
This new 10K welcomes runners of all ages and abilities who will follow a multi-terrain course around the attractive Penkridge countryside, starting at 11am from the grounds of Rodbaston Hall.
The diversity of the course will appeal to runners, new and experienced as Ashley Hodgkins, Mash Running joint race organiser points out: “There’s such wonderful variation in terrain, from trails to tarmac, to fields and towpath with even a little water to keep things interesting!”
Runners will complete a small loop of the Rodbaston Hall Estate before heading off through the surrounding fields and woodlands with a drinks station at the halfway point. There are trophies for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female and 1st under 18 with a bespoke Penkridge 10K medal for all finishers.
A pre/post-race massage will be available from Jan Hodgkiss of Holistic Therapy at Captain’s Den, Stone at a very low cost.
