Final Countdown To Enter Cheltenham’s Half

Last call for entries for Cheltenham's Half Marathon

Runners wishing to enter Cheltenham’s Half Marathon have only a few days left to do so. Deadline for entries is midnight on Tuesday 30 August.

Standard entries are filling up quickly for this regency town Half Marathon, taking place on Sunday 25 September in the heart of the Cotswolds. Cheltenham is an often-visited tourist destination as well as playing host to an event that has grown in popularity with this year’s race set to be the biggest yet.
Race organisers GO2 have put out the call for final entries due to an overwhelming level of interest and have made several changes to satisfy these expectations. These include a new location for the race village within the grounds of the racecourse: a new route and an innovative chip timing system that streams live results and sends text messages showing official race times.
The famous racecourse plays a major role this year, acting as the host for the start and finish lines and has an impressive range of facilities ideally suited to large-scale events such as this. It also includes a viewing gallery for supporters who can cheer the runners on as they sprint towards the finish.
Sue Ryder Hospice Care and Winston’s Wish are the official charities for the Half Marathon with runners invited to fundraise for them. Any runner who fails to secure a standard entry can register for a place with one of these charities.
A final reminder from Jamie Warren at GO2 who said: “With just weeks to go now, we would urge any of those runners hoping to take part to sign up now to avoid disappointment.”
