Five Have Fun On The Run
Things get underway on Saturday beginning with the Inflatable 5K – Newark in partnership with Pure Gym. The fun-filled course contains 10 giant obstacles with names such as Mega Mountains, Bish Bash and The Gauntlet and is open to individuals and groups.
Next up is the Big Fun Run Birmingham 5K and Dog Jog 5K at Cannon Hill Park. This is part of the Big Fun Run series taking place around the country from July to October with the emphasis on an enjoyable, no-pressure experience. The Big Fun Run starts at 11am with the Dog Jog in the afternoon at 2pm.
The action continues on Sunday with another Big Fun Run and Dog Jog, this time at Coventry. Both events are held at the War Memorial Park with opportunities to fundraise for charity. All entrants will receive a medal, bottle of water and goody bag at the finish.
Charity is the theme of the next race, the Kidlington Fun Run 5K in Oxfordshire on behalf of Daybreak Dementia Day Clubs. In addition to this is a 1k run for families with both events using a course that’s a mixture of woodland and sports ground. There is afternoon tea for anyone not participating or there to provide support.
Our last stop is the Saxilby 5K Road Race and Children’s 2K Fun Run in Lincoln. It starts at 9.30am and follows a flat, traffic-free route around the village of Saxilby with a bespoke medal for all finishers.
