This was the last in the series of five road races, organised by Tempo Events that started and finished at Ilmington Sports Club in Shipston on Stour. Competitors ran the same course for every race, alternated each time; they ran in a clockwise direction for one race then anti-clockwise for the next and so on.
All finishers received a packet of sausages, courtesy of a local butcher, that were popular with everyone who took part.
The series winners were awarded prize vouchers courtesy of Hand Picked Hotels offering a one-night stay including bed and breakfast for two. Runners who completed all five races received a highly prized, Tempo Events Winter Series hoody, providing an incentive to tackle this course and its infamous hill.
