Paul Andrew finished the Tempo Winter Series 10K on a high, winning all five races to be crowned the series champion. The renowned hoody was one of his prizes.
The Leamington C & AC man was in commanding form throughout the series, posting 36/37 minute finish times on a course slightly over 10k (6.3 miles to be exact) and included a big hill. His ‘five out of five’ achievement is confirmation that his training is going well as he prepares for the Manchester Marathon in April.
Natasha White of Northbrook AC was the women’s series winner.
72 men and 53 women completed five races in this successful series organised by Tempo Events. The first race was held on the 21 October, the second on the 18 November, the third on the 30 December, the fourth on the 20 January and the fifth and final on the 17 February. The same Warwickshire course was used each time; however, the races alternated between a clockwise and anti-clockwise direction. There was a pack of sausages for every finisher.
There were individual race prizes, e.g. first, second and third male and female and the winning man and lady in each age category. Series prizes for the first male and female who completed all five races with the lowest score and a memento for the others. In addition to this, and eagerly awaited, was the Tempo Winter Series 10K hoody that changes colour each year.
Their next event for anyone who cycles as well as runs is the Spring Duathlon on the 30 March. Visit the website for details.
