In our final preview of the Tour of Tameside, we take a look at last leg of the event, the Hyde 7
Stage four of the Tour of Tameside will see runners embark on a 7 mile route through the town of Hyde. The event, scheduled for Sunday 19 June, is open for those looking to compete on the day or as a fitting finale to those who have committed to tackling each race in the much-loved Tour.
Adrenaline is bound to be high on the day as the field departs from the historic Hyde Town Hall on Market Street, through the town centre and the surrounding area before returning to the start point and the cheers from the crowd.
Race organisers Sports Tours International reintroduced the new version of the Tour which was founded by marathon legend Ron Hill in 1983. The much-loved event returned with a bang in 2015 with more than 500 runners taking part.
After feedback from the field, organisers made the decision to expand the Tour to four days and it looks likely the Hyde race will be the ideal venue to sign off the 2016 event.
Registration for the Hyde 7 is priced at just £15. Entries are available here.
