Those with a passion for running and looking to become involved in the organisational side of competitive racing may well be interested to note that the team behind the Derby Half Marathon is looking to fill a support vacancy.
Since being re-introduced in 2014, the Derby Half Marathon, or Ramathon, has proven to be a massive hit with Midlands runners. This year’s event saw a field of almost 3000 enjoy a modified course that started and finished at the iPro Stadium and took in the villages of Shardlow, Ambaston, Elvaston and the Castle Grounds.
The part-time role will entail providing efficient and effective support to the race director of the popular event. In addition, the job description specifies a confident, outgoing manner with the ability to learn and develop systems and provide effective planning and co-ordination support.
Candidates must possess strong organisational capability, be numerate, self-motivated, conscientious, able to work as part of a team but also possess the ability to work under their own initiative and react under pressure.
