There is less than three weeks to go to the Lincoln Half Marathon on Sunday 1 October with places filling up quickly. Late entries will be accepted until 25 September.
Last Chance To Enter Lincoln Half
Runners who enter from now until the 25 September deadline will have to collect their race packs the day before the event from Lincoln Showground. In addition, their names will not be printed on the front of their race numbers.
However, they will take part in a closed-roads race in an attractive location and with plenty of support throughout. The route passes several areas of interest, including the Cathedral Quarter, Brayford Waterfront and the University of Lincoln, not forgetting Steep Hill that leads to and from Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle. The race starts and finishes at Lincolnshire Showground where there will be food, drink and entertainment for runners and spectators.
The Lincoln Half Marathon and Corporate Challenge is organised by OSB Events who are a locally-based, family run company with over 25 years’ experience. They host a range of sporting events, which include running, triathlon, duathlon and swimming. They also fundraise for Cancer Research UK who they have been in partnership with since 2012.
Race director Iain Hamilton has a few words of encouragement for anyone who has yet to register saying: “We are looking forward to welcoming runners of all abilities to this beautiful race in historic Lincoln. The course passes the magnificent landmarks of the cathedral and castle and has a definite ‘wow’ factor for local and visiting athletes.”
