There are high expectations for LOROS Hospice Colourfun Mile on Wednesday 7 June. Hot on the heels of their recent success with the Twilight Walk, fundraisers at the Leicester Hospice hope to repeat this with a record number of entries in their Colourfun Mile.
LOROS Hoping For Glittering Turnout
The family-friendly event caters for all ages and abilities and dogs are welcome too. Entrants wear white T-shirts, which are showered in multi-coloured paint, as they run or walk through Hinckley town centre. This year's event will feature a new addition in the form of a glitter station to add that extra sparkle.
Organisers have also included a family-friendly paint rave at the finish line with music and dancing creating a party atmosphere for all involved. Colour coated T-shirts and neon accessories are mandatory at the rainbow run, billed as a fun way to raise money for the hospice.
LOROS fundraising lead Laura Betts said: “Our Colourfun Mile is always such a huge hit with our supporters and definitely an event that is set to put a smile on everyone’s faces.”
As well as registering for the event, entrants are invited to sign up for the hospice’s new fundraising scheme and become members of ‘The Hundred Heroes’ Club. Entrants must agree to raise £100 for the hospice. Those who sign up will have the added bonus of receiving VIP treatment.
