New Walk 2 Run Workshop For BeginnersThere is less than two weeks to go to the new ‘Walk 2 Run Beginners’ workshop on 23 June from Cannock Chase. This eight-week course is organised by ChaseLife with the emphasis on fun and fitness for all. 

ChaseLife is the brainchild of David Hetherington and Sarah Gardner-Hall who have many years’ experience in running. They compete in races from 5k to ultras and continue to set new goals while inspiring others to take up running and enjoy the many benefits from doing so. 
Their group, ChaseLife.uk Runners is part of the RunTogether initiative set up by England Athletics to promote the sport by encouraging people to run with others. The Beginners Walk 2 Run workshop is suitable for newcomers and those returning to running who want to get fit, lose weight and improve their quality of life in a friendly, supportive environment. 
The daytime course starts on Friday 23 June at 9.30am from Cannock Chase Visitor Centre, Marquis Drive. Cannock Chase is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and is popular with runners, walkers and cyclists for its trails and wildlife. Numbers are strictly limited to 16 as the group will receive tailored coaching and advice from David and Sarah. 
It is aimed at people of all ages and backgrounds including students, part-time employees, full-time mothers (and dads), the self-employed and retirees. By the end of the workshop, they will be able to run 5k with the option to enter a race or two and progress from there. 
Previous workshops have sold out within 24 hours with interested parties advised to book as soon as possible to guarantee their place.
