For some people, mainly parents, September marks the start of the real ‘New Year’. Forget 1 January – resolutions and plans for a healthier, more organised way of living are all the talk at school gates up and down the country. And with life resuming some normality after the lengthy summer holidays, it is easier to plan. Easier to stick to (good) habits and to make time for some of this ‘self care’ everyone seems to be talking about at the moment.
If this sounds familiar and you are venturing back out for a few tentative runs after some months away from exercising then check out runABC’s race listing and sign up for an event. It will help enormously in keeping you on track and will give you something on the horizon to work towards over the coming months.
And speaking of horizons, if you are finding swapping your slippers for trainers something of an ordeal then check out Mizuno’s Wave Horizon 2. These shoes are being touted as the brand’s most technically advanced stability shoe and have been designed for runners looking for maximum cushioning combined with moderate support. Key features include a full length U4icX bottom midsole and independent heel decoupling. The shoes offer a supportive fit due to resilient engineered mesh and reinforcing elements in the midfoot area. The Wave Horizon 2 will bring you a little bit of luxury when out on that run, and who could say no to that?
