There are now just six weeks left to sign up for the 2015 Vitality Reading Half Marathon. One of the UK's biggest half marathons, the event takes place on Sunday 22 March 2015.
The course will feature a new-look flatter and faster race course starting at Green Park and finishing at the Madejski Stadium, where 15,000 spectators can cheer friends and family over the line.
“The 2015 Vitality Reading Half Marathon is the perfect event for runners of all abilities to come together and experience a stadium finish like no other. We’ve made some exciting changes to the 2015 course and can’t wait to hear the runners’ feedback,” says Nick Pearson, Sweatshop’s race director.
“Just a few weeks before April’s London Marathon, it’s an ideal warm up race for seasoned runners, or even those beginning their running journey. Reading is known for its incredible crowd support, both out on the course from the people of Reading and the surrounding area, and in the Madejski Stadium you’ll experience a roaring lap to the finish line!”
Entry fees for the 2015 Vitality Reading Half Marathon are £35.00 for UKA affiliated club runners and £37.00 for all other runners, which includes a medal, goody bag and finishers t-shirt at the finish.
Before the start of the half marathon, the Green Park Challenge will see 2,000 runners of all ages and abilities tackle the shorter 2.8km course. The park is set to be flooded in a sea of green as all runners don their Green Park Challenge t-shirts to raise money for many charitable causes. Entries for the Green Park Challenge are £7.50 and includes a race t-shirt – sign up your family and friends now.
