Organisers of the Chesterfield and Derbyshire Marathon have revealed the specific gradient and route details for both the marathon and 13.1 mile events. Prospective entrants are also being alerted to the fact that early bird registration for the race, scheduled for 20 September, close on 31st May.
This year, both the full and half marathon - as well as the fun run - will start and finish at Queen’s Park in Chesterfield. In addition to revealing the route details, competitors can also view a video of the marathon and half marathon course on the event website.
After more than 1,500 runners took part in the 2014 race, it's looking likely that the Chesterfield and Derbyshire Marathon will once again stand as the town’s biggest and most successful mass participation event of the year.
This year’s event will once again be in support of children’s charity Kids ‘n’ Cancer, along with other local charities and good causes and will also include a fun run and a relay race, where four competitors take a share of the course.
Registration details and more information on the route for this year's events are available here.
