Those considering a September 10k should check out the Run for Rotary event to be held at Draycote Water near Rugby on Sunday 28th at 10am.
The 650 acre reservoir is set high in the rolling Warwickshire countryside so stunning scenery and great vistas throughout the 10k course (7.5k of which is a lap of the reservoir itself) are guaranteed.
The whole family can come along - and not just in a cheer-leading capacity! Midlands-based charity - Kids Run Free will be there on the day organising two events specifically for children (bike ride and fun run). Both events will take place before the 10k, so parents can support their kids before toeing the line themselves. For the bike ride, children must have their own bike to participate and the fun run is a 1k distance.
Both the children's events are free - register online. If you have any queries contact Kids Run Free's Martine Verweij at firstname.lastname@example.org
Entry to the 10k race is £12 for affiliated runners and £14 for unaffiliated. Online entry is available at the Run Britain website. Online entries close on Sunday 21 September. For more information visit the event website.
