Colour Celebration At The Cotswolds

Run or Dye OxfordshireThe vibrant colours of the Run or Dye series were seen at Cornbury Park last Saturday (26 September) as the event enjoyed its maiden appearance at the Cotswolds. Almost 2,000 runners took part in the Oxfordshire Run or Dye 5k, with participants showed at each kilometre in a rainbow of colours.

Inspired by the ancient Hindu festival of Holi, also known as the ‘Festival of Colours’, Run or Dye gives runners, walkers and all speeds in-between, the opportunity to experience and celebrate in full colour the thrill of the Festival and introduce the idea of ‘living life on purpose'.

After they crossed the finish line, runners and their supporters celebrated their achievement at the famous Dye Festival with MC Sam making sure the celebrations kept going. Participants took part in the Dye Games with crowd vs crowd competitions, Dye Blasts and Tie Dye-ing the Sky.

Help for Heroes is the official national charity partner and several of the Band of Brothers and Sisters joined the crowds on Saturday, cheering on the wounded servicemen, women and veterans who ran alongside other participants.

Next up in the series are events in Kent (Hever Castle) on 3 October, followed by Derbyshire (Chatsworth) on 10 October, concluding in Edinburgh (Hopetoun House) on 18 October. More information is available here.
