Last month's Port Sunlight 10K had a very distinctive flavour. Race organisers, BTR Liverpool, wanted to have some fun and offer something just a little bit different so they ran with a 'Flower Power' theme. It made sense because it celebrated the natural beauty of Port Sunlight village.
It's always tricky for race organisers when they decide to have a themed race. It's something that they can simply hope runners will embrace. Fortunately for Port Sunlight 10K organisers, runners did embrace the hippy theme. In their droves!
One of the keys to developing a theme is having a strong relationship with your T-shirt supplier and BTR Liverpool were able to approach runner print winner who were more than happy to work with them and come up with novel designs that fully embraced the flower power theme. Alan Rothwell at BTR Liverpool told runABC that the themed event wouldn't have been possible without runner print winner's input and he added that they did everything possible to make it a success.
If you have a themed idea for your race it looks like runner print winner are the company to help make it happen.
