Snowdonia Edging In On Sell Out

Snowdonia Trail MarathonAlways Aim High Events, organisers of the acclaimed SCOTT Snowdonia Trail Marathon in Wales’ outdoor capital, Llanberis, have announced that less than 200 places are available for this year’s race on Sunday 24 July.

With an ascent of over 1.6k across the 26.2 miles, the event isn’t for the faint hearted yet the spectacular panoramic views of Snowdonia National Park make the effort worthwhile.

The marathon starts and finishes in the country’s adventure capital Llanberis, North Wales and visits Rhyd Ddu, Beddgelert, Nant Gwynant, Pen y Pass. A half marathon option is also available, which takes in some of the same fantastic trails as the full marathon as well as Padarn Country Park in the heart of the famous Dinorwig slate quarries.

The Always Aim High team is also behind the successful Jones o Gymru Anglesey Half Marathon. Like the Snonwdonia event, this has become renowned for its stunning backdrop, with runners enjoying a start point on the iconic Menai Suspension Bridge before moving along the gorgeous Menai Strait coastline.

Entry for the SCOTT Snowdonia Trail Marathon is priced at just £35, or £25 for the half. More information is available here.
