It was only open to clubs who are members of the LRRL with individual and team scoring systems in place to determine the final standings. The Stilton 7 is part of the LRRL Winter League where the best three out of four race results count towards the final scores and prizes.
Runners headed off at 10.30am from Welby Road outside the race HQ at Holwell Sports Club and proceeded along a two-lap course with a short, sharp climb at 1.5 and 5 miles. This was followed by a longer ascent up Asfordby Hill via the pavement at 3 miles and near the finish. There were two water stations – at the halfway point and the finish line with post-race refreshments at the race HQ.
The next race in the LRRL series is the Markfield 10K on Sunday 12 March.
