After the launch and widespread attention of their This Girl Can campaign, Sport England is looking to hear more of your inspiring stories. Hundreds of runners across the country have been sending in their very own tales of fitness feats, with the campaign aiming to get more women involved in sport for the first time.
Prior to Christmas, Sport England sent information about how clubs create activities that would be suitable for the type of person this campaign is looking to inspire.
Since then, participants have voiced their tales through social media by tweeting pictures using the #ThisGirlCan hashtag and tagging @ThisGirlCanUK or @englandathletic. As momentum builds, Sport England is wanting as many people to share their stories of fitness.
As part of the campaign, Sport England is also offering courses such as Leadership in Running Fitness to train people in the delivery of activities that break potential barriers to participation in running and athletics.
