Due to demand, the organisers of the 2018 Ramathon - Derby Half Marathon have extended the deadline for Very Early Bird entries to Friday 30 June. Next year's event will be held on Sunday 3 June.
Very Early Bird Entry To 2018 Ramathon
There is a structured pricing system in place with Very Early Bird entry the cheapest option. Once the Friday deadline has passed, Early Bird entry is available from 1 July to 31 October. From 1 November, entrants pay a Standard entry fee, which applies until 24 April 2018. It is Late entry only from 25 April to 18 May 2018. Mini Ramathon entries open in autumn this year.
Entries opened three days after this year’s race (Sunday 4 June) with over 2,000 runners, many of whom achieved a PB on a fast, flat course, which started and finished at Pride Park Stadium. The route went through Derby city centre and out towards Elvaston Castle Country Park before heading back to the stadium.
A PB-potential course, first-class race village and an iconic Ramathon medal are vote winners with runners who also praised the smooth organisation of the event. Another popular aspect is the Mini Ramathon where children and families have the opportunity to complete a two-mile fun run with the Derby County FC mascot Rammie.
The organisers hope the 2018 Ramathon will build on this year's success. Race director Richard Kay says: “We pride ourselves on hosting a welcoming and professional event for all the family to enjoy and are already working on making our fifth anniversary race our biggest and best yet.”
Very Early Bird entry is available at the Derby Ramathon website.
