Weekend Running Breaks For Women Only

Running Breaks logo

Female runners across the Midlands now have the opportunity to improve their running in a relaxed, but focused, environment with Running Breaks. The Cambridgeshire-based service has something to offer female runners irrespective of age or experience. Their training weekends are designed for women who have completed a parkrun or can manage three miles comfortably and are looking to move up a level.

Whether it is to develop speed and achieve a new PB at parkrun or build endurance and train for a half marathon, these weekends will equip women with the skills to do so, giving them confidence in their abilities as runners and the desire to be the best they can be.

The weekends are led by experienced female UK Athletics coaches who understand the needs of women runners and provide support and encouragement throughout. The programme for a weekend includes running drills and technique, creating a training plan and exercises such as yoga to improve flexibility. There is a group run on each of the three days - Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

All of this takes place in a friendly, sociable environment with like-minded ladies who are keen to learn and improve while having fun at the same time. There is the opportunity to relax in the evenings and for anyone who is competitive, there is a pub quiz on a Saturday night.

Running Breaks training weekends are held at Nene Park in Peterborough. This beautiful location is accessible via road or rail and worth visiting at any time of the year but even more so in the summer when everything is in full bloom, making it ideal for running.

The next Running Breaks training weekend is the 9 to 11 June 2017. For more information, fill in the contact form on the website or email Rosslyn.Hamlyn@runningbreaks.co.uk
