Women wanted to run around the world in January

Girls Run The World Virtual Challenge 2020

Girls Run The World invite women to banish those winter blues and say ‘No’ to SAD by running every day in January 2020. Join Runuary and virtually run around the world.

January is a miserable time of year. There is the post-Christmas hangover, damp, dreary days and cold nights and for many women, they feel out of sorts and lacking in motivation. Whilst gin seems like the answer there is another option which aims to bring women together in a month long running challenge. This is Runuary 2020.

Runuary first launched in January 2015 to great success and since then more than 5,000 women have got fitter, healthier and happier as a result. For some it has been life changing.

For 2020, Girls Run The World are going global with the goal of women from all corners of the world taking part and totting up the miles. Building a community where women are empowered and supported every step of the way irrespective of age, ability or background as they work towards a shared goal.

Distance or time doesn’t matter: what is important is that participants run every day and share this on social media or Strava using the Girls Run The World hashtag #grtwrunuary. The organisers will combine the total distance of everyone taking part to see if they can circle the planet.

They are partnering with Treesisters, a charity that works with a global network of women to help reforest the world by planting fast growing trees. For every event registration, the organisers will replant one tree.

Register now at the Girls Run The World website. Participants will receive a limited edition GRTW T-shirt upon successful completion.
