Worcester Pitchcroft 10K
Worcester Racecourse will be the venue for the 24th running of the event.The course is over three, traffic free laps, around the tarmacadam perimeter tracks and paths. It is a fast flat route and offers PB potential. The course record is 30.54 set by Matt Vaux-Harvey in 2003 and the ladies record is 34.38 set by Kenyan Winifrida Kwamboka in 2008.
The event is licensed by UKA and the course holds a measurement certificate. The race is suitable for both novice and experienced runners and being multi-lap, offers spectators excellent viewing. The finish is on the Grandstand concourse.
All finishers receive a unique commemorative medal. There is an extensive prize and trophy list, including veteran categories.
The event also hosts a 2.75Km Fun Run, cost £5, from which all proceeds go to local charity Acorns Children’s Hospice. The run is held before the 10K and provides opportunity for all the family. Free car parking is available adjacent to the course and Race HQ.
This event is organised by runners (Worcester Athletic Club) for runners, so we keep entry cost to the minimum. Early bird entry: £10 UKA affiliated and £12 - closing date 31.3.19 Entry: £12 £14 - closing date 24.5.19 On the day: £14 £16 - subject to availability
