Jersey Spartan Half Marathon, Relay & Fun Run
Jersey Spartan Half-Marathon is a friendly community event which is open to runners of all abilities. The course was created and first measured nearly 40 years ago. It presently operates under a IAAF course measurement used for the Island Games and England Athletics Permit.
The race is the most southerly half marathon in the British Isles and is held on tarmac roads. It undulates from the athletics track in St Clement at sea level, uphill after the first mile, through scenic country lanes in Grouville and St Saviour to St Martin passes Hougue Bie & Mont Orgeuil Castle local heritage sites. Runners (minimum age 18) shall receive Water, a Technical T-shirt, a medal a goody bag and post race snack.
The 3 person Relay must complete approximately 4.3 miles with changeover points at St Martin School and Seymour Pub. Coaches take the runners from FB Fields to changeover points. Relay entrants must be aged 15 or over.
The 3k Fun Run loops from FB towards town and then behind the golf course before returning to finish on the track. A 1k fun run is available for Children and this stays within the boundary of th playing fields and is aimed at youngsters up to 9 years old.
